Well so much for my target of a Blog a fortnight! May has been a crazy, busy month with most weekends spent away from home. The first was taken by our holiday in Portugal, closely followed by the County weekend at Broneirion. This was an action packed two days with over 40 members of Cheshire Forest learning how to Grow Guiding led by 3 great Trainers from Leicestershire. Fun, friendship and too much food all set in beautiful surroundings! The following weekend Mike and I were in Swansea to attend Girlguiding UK's Annual Event, which profiled acheivements throughout the year in the form of a TV news programme. It was good to meet up with friends from around the UK and to browse the stands promoting current initiatives.
In between these weekends away came a Pettypool management meeting, a County executive, a meeting about funding, another Training 4 U and the Forest News mailing. Time at home was not wasted either, sending out invitations to our forthcoming Celebration evening, sorting Long Service awards and answering e-mails. This half term week has meant fewer Guiding commitments so I have been able to catch up with ironing and housework, which have proved to be light relief after mad May!
